The American League Championship Series starts Friday when division rivals Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays battle it out for a trip to the World Series.

The Rays are enjoying their first ever trip to the post season. Tampa Bay has never finished above .500 before this year and posted the worst record in the majors just a year ago. The Red Sox are aiming for a return trip to the World Series and their 3rd championship since 2004.
