It’s the best time of year for hockey fans! April, May, and June bring us the NHL playoffs. Last season’s Stanley Cup winners, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, have already been eliminated by the Dallas Stars in round one, so the field is wide open for a new set of names to be engraved on one of pro sports’ most famous trophies.

Round one is complete, and it’s time to see what surprises round two will bring. Are the President’s Trophy winners, Detroit Red Wings, on their way to an 11th Stanley Cup Championship? The Pittsburgh Penguins certainly made a statement that they’re in it to win it by sweeping the Ottawa Senators in the first round. The New York Rangers also had a great round one by eliminating the New Jersey Devils in five games.
