Big NFL Game of the Week – Chargers vs. Patriots
Of the NFL football games this week, I’m counting the San Diego Chargers versus the New England Patriots as the Big NFL Game of the Week.
It doesn’t mean quite as much as it did when they met late last season in the playoffs, but whoever wins this one could have the mental edge if it comes down to another meeting in this season’s playoffs.
With two of the best teams in the NFL battling it out, this should make for a good game.
The Patriots, who are always contenders, have really stepped up their game with the addition of Randy Moss. I know it’s early in the season, but they could really be the team to beat.
The Chargers are coming off of great season (not counting the season ending loss to the Patriots) and they have the reigning league MVP, LaDainian Tomlinson. Combining LT, TE Antonio Gates, and some great defensive players, they’re poised for another great season.
My (1 – 1) pick is the San Diego Chargers. Mainly because I’ve been a big fan of the Chargers since the Dan Fouts days. Not to mention I have both Tomlinson and Gates on my fantasy football team.
Lori’s (0 – 2) pick is the San Diego Chargers.
And the pick for Chase (0 – 2), our 11 year old football statistician and 2005 Fantasy Football Champion, is the San Diego Chargers.

Chargers are the best team in the NFL, As far as I m concerned, we have great fans, really the whole city of Baltimore will say that. In Baltimore if you want to watch the Chargers in style good luck with that, all the Chargers premium seats get sold out the day they show up in ticketmaster. Chargers tickets are sometimes 2 or even 5 times the face value. Anyhow If you get lost I have a new sight for u guys

Whew, that was pretty bad. Thankfully I already won my fantasy football game without LT.
Like I said in the blog post, with that Brady to Moss combination, the Patriots could really be THE team to beat this year.
