Monday Night Football Prediction – Titans vs. Saints

Monday Night Football brings us to the Superdome this week with the Tennessee Titans taking on the New Orleans Saints.

Making for great media hype, the number two and number three 2006 NFL drafts picks, Reggie Bush and Vince Young, face off for the first time since the college championship of that same year.

It’s still early in the season, but the Saints are not looking as good as they did a year ago. But with Drew Brees at the helm, and weapons like Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush, they can still turn it around.

The Titans have some great upset potential this year with the playmaker Vince Young. He can really make things happen on the field, especially with his feet.

For my (1 – 3) pick this week, I’m going out on a limb and picking the Saints for the win. I think being at home in the Superdome will help them start clicking, and we’ll start seeing glimpses of last years high powered offense.

Lori (0 – 4) is predicting the Titans will win this one, though she’s pulling for the Saints.

Chase (0 – 4) is taking my side and picking the Saints.

Who do you think will win this one? Take our quick poll. It’s quick, easy and there’s no sign-up or log-in required!

Monday Night Football Prediction – Redskins vs. Eagles

Monday Night Football started off the season with two close games last week.

This week, we get the NFC East divisional matchup of the Washington Redskins at the Philadelphia Eagles.

I’m (1 – 2) predicting a low scoring, defensive battle with the Eagles winning by a small margin over the Redskins.

Eagles are also being picked by Lori. (0 – 3)

And finally, Chase (0 – 3) makes it unanimous with an Eagles pick as well.

Who do you think will win this one? Take our quick poll. It’s quick, easy and there’s no sign-up or log-in required!

Big NFL Game of the Week – Chargers vs. Patriots

Of the NFL football games this week, I’m counting the San Diego Chargers versus the New England Patriots as the Big NFL Game of the Week.

It doesn’t mean quite as much as it did when they met late last season in the playoffs, but whoever wins this one could have the mental edge if it comes down to another meeting in this season’s playoffs.

With two of the best teams in the NFL battling it out, this should make for a good game.

The Patriots, who are always contenders, have really stepped up their game with the addition of Randy Moss. I know it’s early in the season, but they could really be the team to beat.

The Chargers are coming off of great season (not counting the season ending loss to the Patriots) and they have the reigning league MVP, LaDainian Tomlinson. Combining LT, TE Antonio Gates, and some great defensive players, they’re poised for another great season.

My (1 – 1) pick is the San Diego Chargers. Mainly because I’ve been a big fan of the Chargers since the Dan Fouts days. Not to mention I have both Tomlinson and Gates on my fantasy football team.

Lori’s (0 – 2) pick is the San Diego Chargers.

And the pick for Chase (0 – 2), our 11 year old football statistician and 2005 Fantasy Football Champion, is the San Diego Chargers.

Who do you think will win this one? Take our quick poll. It’s quick, easy and there’s no sign-up or log-in required!

Whoever you picked, we’ve got both San Diego Chargers merchandise and New England Patriots merchandise for decorating your home, office, or kid’s room. Or check out your other favorite NFL team merchandise at MySportsDecor.com.

Monday Night Football Prediction – Cardinals vs. 49ers

2 games for the price of 1 for the first Monday Night Football of the 2007 season.

For the late game, we have the Arizona Cardinals at the San Francisco 49ers.

I’m interested to see how each of these teams do this year. I think they both have some upset potential.

But as for this game, I think the Cardinals squeak by with a win in a competitive battle. And I hope my fantasy football wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has some great games this year.

Lori predicts that the Cardinals win.

Chase makes it unanimous with a Cardinals pick as well.

While you’re waiting for this late game to start, check out the Arizona Cardinals merchandise and San Francisco 49ers merchandise for decorating your home or office. Other teams NFL merchandise are also available at MySportsDecor.com.

Monday Night Football Prediction – Ravens vs. Bengals

The 2007 football season is now underway. Woohoo!

Tonight we get a double scoop of Monday Night Football on ESPN. That’s a great way to start off the football season.

For the first game of the night we get the Baltimore Ravens at the Cincinnati Bengals. That’s always a good rivalry.

Last year the Ravens looked good with Steve McNair at the helm, while the Bengals looked a little under the weather compared to the previous year.

I think it will be a pretty tough game, but I’m predicting that the Cincinnati Bengals pull it out with a marginal win. Of course, Carson Palmer is my fantasy football quarterback, so maybe it’s just wishful thinking!

Lori’s prediction: Ravens.

And finally the prediction of Chase, our 11 year old football statistician and 2005 Fantasy Football Champion: Ravens.

Looks like I’m outnumbered.

If one of these teams is your favorite, we’ve got your fan decorating needs covered with Cincinnati Bengals merchandise and Baltimore Ravens merchandise, along with other NFL teams merchandise at MySportsDecor.com.

Colts vs. Saints – A Heart Divided

Tonight marks the kickoff of the NFL regular season with the Indianapolis Colts taking on the New Orleans Saints in Indianapolis. The question nagging my brain for days now is who will I root for? After all, my family and I have been Colts fans for many years and were over the moon when they finally won it all last season.

When my son was in second grade and had to choose someone to research and dress up as for Living History Day—his choice was Peyton Manning. (Neil Armstrong ran a close second.)

When I made a quick trip to Indianapolis this summer, I made sure to stock up on Colts apparel for the whole family.

But the Saints—let me tell you about the Saints.

I grew up right across the lake from New Orleans in the 80s and 90s. Those were the days of the ‘Aints… when the Superdome would be filled (well maybe not filled) with spectators wearing paper bags over their heads. Yet still we cheered, just hoping ole’ Bobby Hebert would bring us a good season.

Watching the Saints’ success last year with the addition of Drew Brees and Reggie Bush brought healing to the soul. No paper bags or sounds of boos last season, just chants of “Deuce, Deuce” whenever the star running back made a great play. What a beautiful thing to witness.

So tonight, I will remain torn between the two. Who will I cheer for? Well, a bit for both of the teams I’m sure. But, ultimately, since Peyton Manning is my fantasy football quarterback, I may have to cheer for the Colts just a little bit more.

Check out our selection of Indianapolis Colts merchandise, which includes a Peyton Manning wall clock. Also browse our New Orleans Saints merchandise, where there’s not a single ‘Aints paper bag in sight.
